Mr Uba rushed to the hospital, hospital have always been a dreadful place to him, he make sure to avoid it but today is a must.
"What happened" he asked as he approached his daughter, she wrapped her arms around him, crying, its broke his heart, seeing her daughter like this broke his heart and thinking how much damage the accident have cause puts pressure on him.
"Its my fault dad" she said with tears "I wanted to have short bread so she went across the street to buy it, she got hit and the drive drove off" she said crying, it was hit and run
"Don't worry dear its no ones fault" Mirabel's mother consoled Amara, Mr Uba is just noticing her too, with a man he could easily guess is Mirabel father, he looks like no nonsense man, if the situation was different Mr Uba will really have hard time talking to him
"How is the situation" he asked him, since he is the only one that looks collected
"Fine, I guess we will find out when the doctor comes out, but she have a cut on her forehead" he said showing Mr Uba the position on his head, Mr Uba gave a nod
"And nobody happens to get the drivers car number" he asked knowing the chances are slim
"No" he said, Mr Uba looked at at Amara and Janet, Mirabel's mother, Janet was consoling her, he felt his lips curve at the scene, now he knows where Mirabel got the charm
"Am Christopher Uba her fiance" Mr Uba said stretching out his hand wondering if its the right thing to say at the moment, he is nervous
"Am Chief Ifeanyi Ugwu her father" he shook the hand, Mr Uba visibly relax, he have not even proposed but he know he will, Mirabel is alright he believes so and refuse to have his faith shakened
After a while of waiting the pressure is getting too much for the more they wait the more they fear, he looked at Amara her tears are now dried, she is sitting on Janet laps. Not long the doctor came out and they all rush to him
