I felt sad for what I did, nothing was enough to erase the sadness, I went to sleep with bitter heart. When I came out in the morning she is already gone, I knew cause I waited but she didn't come out, instead her father did.
Today at work I lost the energy for anything, I know I felt like I needed the space to know what my heart really want, right now with the way it misses her am quiet sure I know what it wants. So with the courage I packed my bag and head straight to the only force keeping us apart.
"What do you want?" Her father asked as he opened the door, am so nervous never have I met the family of any girl, am afraid about the outcome.
"I know I have been a player, I have been a someone who thought he had it all, proud of the way I live, bragged about it. But something changed a miracle happened at this very doorsteps" I said pointing the ground "I saw your daughter Vivian, just with a single wave my stomach flipped, I felt guilty and ashamed of the life I have lived, she shook and destroy the very life I was living" I closed my eyes to gather myself, then opened "I know you will never trust me, I know in your sight am nothing but a fool, someone that is not worth your daughter, in truth nobody is, but I don't mind spending the rest of my life trying" I said now hoping he will say something

"You have my blessing, but don't forget you said you don't mind spending the rest of your life proving your worth" he said and I smile and felt a relieve wash over me

"Good, seems you don't need to go to her, she is already here" he said an went back inside, I froze, Vivian is right behind me, I slowly turned

"You meant it all" she asked, I don't know which part she heard, but no matter the part, they are all true so I nodded
I walked down to her then knelt down, I never imagined how I would propose, I never thought that far, but here I am, kneeling in front of the girl that just showed her face to me about a month ago.
"Love have always been a fallacy to me, something I don't want to encounter, like I said its a war where they is no victor, every one losses something, but I don't mind lossing my heart to you as long as I have yours, I love you Vivian" I said the took a deep breath and show her the ring
"Will you marry me" I said, she clasped her mouth with her hand then whispered
"So its real, not a dream"
"No love, as real as it can get" I smiled she now gave helper hand to me
"Yes" she said, and I slipped the ring in it. I stood up and she smashed her lips on me, I enjoyed it, its like....... I don't know, just too damn sweet.
"I love you too" she said as we drew apart. After catching our breath, I then asked
"How much did you hear" I asked and she giggle.
"All" she said, and I took her hand and walked to my apartment. We both happy, my life just took a drastic change, and I know its for better.
People ask how long does it take to fall in love, well it could be at first sight, at first hello, or even longer, but in the end, its all that's matters.
