Chapter 6
After eating dinner, we just decided to watch tv, she's been quiet and I know something is bothering her, she want to ask me something, but I think she don't know how, so I decided to make it easy for her
"Am all ears, you can ask me" I said and she now looked surprised.
"How do you know, I have something to ask" she asked
"Cause you kept scratching your wrist, that's the third time am noticing it, and that's always before you ask something, and you have been scratching it for quite sometime now" I said, I marveled at how I noticed every little detail about her.
"Ok, don't be annoyed, I just feel you don't believe in love cause your parents died early and the people that trained you wasn't a lovely couple" she said, I smiled, she also didn't experience love at first hand cause her parents are divorced but she still believe.
"That's not it" I said truthfully
"Then what" she asked, I wonder why she want to know
"Love is like a battle where their is no winners, only losers, we loose our heart, ourselves, why would I bother being such fighter" I said, and I think its a powerful quote.
"Yea we loose something" she said sadly "but we also gain something better" she said with a shrug. I just smiled and we focused on the tv.
After a while, I felt her yawn, she is tired, she is tired, "time to go love" I said, I love the feeling I get when I call her that.
"Stay a little" she said weakly, even in such state she leaves me dazed
"You are about to sleep, I should leave you to sleep" I said, she smiled
"Alright" she said and stood up, I also did and we both walked to the door, is it bad if I said I don't want to go, am just being a gentleman.
"Good night" she said
"G'night" I replied and she closed the door, I stood there for a while before walking to my apartment, this is definitely the best night I have had.
When I got home yesterday, I quickly finished the project the boss gave me, I want to focus my entire mind on Vivian, I mean Vivian's project.
"Good morning" she said immediately she saw me, she was locking the door to her apartment, she was just breathtaking.
"Morning" I replied keeping my posture,
"So what's today going to be like" she asked
"First I will go drop this project in the office"I said showing her the project "then take the necessary instrument I need to draw yours, I will then come back , since thats the only work I have for now, my boss won't mind" I said, yes he always give such privilege, all he want is be ready at the appointed time.
"So, what about me" she asked swaying like a little girl giving a speech in public.
"You can do whatever you like" I said, I know she is suppose to be with me all the way, that's the deal, but I just want to tease her.
"Ok" she said sadly and went back inside not giving me a chance to say something else, I smiled, and drove off in my car.
I did everything at the office as fast as I could, took the permission from the boss, he gave me a week to finish the project then I will hand it over to the contractor, that's where my work stops.
When I got home, I was wearing a smile of a man coming back to meet his new wife, I brought her ice cream, I left all the material in the car, for now they are insignificant. I heard her footsteps at my second knock, before she could open her sweet, apple scent filled my nose and it was arousing.
"You are back" she said with much enthusiasm, I smiled at her innocence
"Yes, and with a bribe" I said giving her the vanilla, she smiled and took it
"Consider me bought" she said and we both went inside, I don't need and invitation she already have the pull on me
"Hope you are hungry, cause I made lunch" she said, and I smiled
"Am famished" I said, she giggled and motioned me to the dinning table, I waited patiently, it took her just a minute to serve me, it was a mouthwatering jellof rice.
"Where is yours" I asked, cause I only saw one spoon and one plate, she the show me the vanilla I bought her
"Here, and am not that hungry" she said, then we started eating, and I was telling her about the office and what took me long to come home. I love this feeling, I don't think of anything or anyone when am with her, these feeling is euphoric.
