Daddy's Little Girl

Chapter 9
Mr Uba is alone now, still sad for what he saw, he is sad but did not resort in alcohol, he do drink but never drunk. He kept thinking how stupid it is to fall for a girl at first sight, he scoffed and shook his head.
"Here is where you are" Amanda said as he approached Mr Uba, who now turned to look at her "come let me introduce you to some of my friends" she said dragging him with her.
After walking a while they are face to face with Mirabel and the same guy that had his hands over her a few minutes ago. Though this time, he have his hand to himself, the memory is still fresh in Mr Uba mind. He have his eyes glued on Mirabel who is looking everywhere but him
"This is my friend, Iyke and his date Mirabel" Amanda introduced them to Mr Uba, whom now extend his hands to greet them, first starting with Iyke
"Mr Uba" he said, with a hand shake, he always like introducing himself with his last name, he then turn to Mirabel, who is having a hard time keeping calm
"Hi" he said to her, quite unsure what to say, Mirabel replied him too with the same statement. Amanda and Iyke engaged in a conversation, which Mr Uba and Mirabel have no interest in,
"Care to dance?" Mr Uba said trying to break the ice,
"No" she said still unable to look at him, they have been here for quite a while, but she have not glanced his way once, if not for Amanda and Iyke who throw few questions at them, both will be quiet.
"Come on its just a dance" he urged, not long ago he is trying to get her off his system, now he is trying to make her dance with him
"My answer won't change" she said seriously, then she took a deep breath as she felt his hands on her, Mr Uba don't really knoe what gave him the courage, but he need her close.
"Ok" she said as her reasoning left her, he then took her to the dance floor where few people are dancing, it is Peter Gabriel's book of love so its a slow dance.

I asked as I went to her "It's my parents" she replied "I came since 5, your brother was home so I decided to wait, please can I sleepover," she asked, she normally sleepover but since the devil came back she hasn't "Sure," I said, my brother is already in his room, he really doesn't have human sympathy. "Hope the devil wasn't hard on you," I asked, she smiled "Actually no, he has been very entertaining, I never expected him to give me encouragement on my situation," she said and it surprised ...

My family just relocated to the town new, and its quite refreshing especially after my sister's incident, God bless her soul. Now we can finally put everything behind us. Am walking around taking in the environment, its beautiful, the town is just what I need. I smiled as I got a wink from a really cute boy, yes this town have a lot of cute guys and its quiet tempting since I made up my mind to avoid guys since my sister's incident. "Whatever you want to say, am not interested" I said to the guy as he tried to speak, my words left him speechless and I walked away, politely. He is cute but not cute enough to shake my resolve. I keep walking down the street, when I think I have covered enough under one day I decided to go back home. I walked slowly home, am not in a rush, am 18 years old through with sec...
