Amara statement brought them back from their love stuck, now the father think of a way to hide the awkwardness of the situation, he really don't like her daughter's bluntness sometimes
"Forgive my daughter's bluntness" he said with a chuckle, and the teacher nodded she is still too daze to talk
"Am Mr Uba, Christopher Uba" he said extending his arms, then the teacher shook it
"Am Mirabel Ugwu" she said, she is surprise for the new feeling she is having now, its unfamiliar to her, but Mr Uba case is different, he already know this feeling, he already experienced it with Amara's mother. "You have a smart daughter" Mirabel said looking at Amara who is now holding her fathers hand
" yeah she is" he said, not wanting the conversation to stop, but feeling the darkness that have gently start engulfing sky will make them stop, he then thought of another alternative
"Come let me drop you" he said the quick to read her reaction and know she will refuse so he continued "my girl will be happy, and consider it as my appreciation for staying with her" he said perfectly hiding his nervousness.
"Alright" she agreed, not that she was tricked or pressured to it, but cause deep within she also don't want the conversation to end. They all moved towards the car, Amara is young to understand the feeling of love, but she is smart enough that her father is nicer to her teacher compare to other ladies, and she is also liking the feeling. Amara, willing entered the backseat leaving the front for the teacher, she sense its the best thing, it surprised her father but he decided to ask her about it later. He then drove off after getting the address from Mirabel, then for the first time in a long time he felt complete.
